My name is Matthew Kavanagh. I am a Customer Care Expert  in English for Wix.com and also a recent graduate from TUD Tallaght with a BA in Digital Marketing.

My current role is with Wix.com as a Customer Care expert in English. Although my title in English I have worked alongside French, German and Turkish users in the multilingual queues. Each day has its new challenges as each user's query about their site is different; I assist them in their user journey with the design and editing of their sites all the way through to their SEO, Google/ Facebook Ads, Email Marketing, Analytics, Blogs, managing their DNS records along with other Marketing Tools for their websites.

I changed roles as I was coming to the end of my studies in my degree and wanted to begin to gain experience in the digital/ marketing field and also get a feel for working in Dublin's Digital Hub. This course was set up to meet the demand of industry and adding the information I had already attained in college and with Karcher I saw joining Wix as the next step in my career, now about to take off with what they can provide me with to learn in the marketing and digital sense.

My previous role was with Karcher Ireland. My role was to maintain customer interaction and satisfaction with our clients who could be B2B or even the B2C end consumer. This could have been via demo days, sales, merchandising, customer care or on the Social Media platforms; all to represent the brand professionally.

I have organized trade show set-ups with visual displays such as infographics, pull up banners and POS boards.


I have initiated/ set up and co managed the social media for the brand, building an online audience, creating and managing online content for their interest and interaction.

I have just finished my Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing during the outbreak of Covid-19 by working from home and I have the ambition to finish the final year when it commences. This degree was set up by the college due to industry demand, and I was a part of the pioneering group.

In my course I have covered from the basics to advanced levels of Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing, SEO, Data Analytics and Consumer Behaviour.

From my degree I have learned new skills such as graphic design using InDesign and Illustrator with Photoshop, Power Bi, Database systems with Data Analytics and HTML & CSS in Web App Development using MS Expression and MIT App Inventor. I have learned to apply these skill in an industry project where I ran a social media campaign, which is what resulted in my setting up and co managing the accounts.

have a genuine passion and interest for technology and the digital space and that is why I chose this degree as the route to my future. Incorporating the skills I have gained in my study of Digital Marketing along with my genuine interests in the area and with my existing 10 year experience in customer care, I can achieve the best outcome possible.
